COACH KEITH KOTAR

Coach Keith Kotar started in the sport of triathlon in 2001 at age 10 and has been involved ever since. He took an interest in coaching as early as 8th grade and began to coach youth camps and clinics in high school. In college, Keith became a USAT certified coach and also began to compete professionally.

After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Keith began coaching cross country, track, and swimming at Nolan Catholic High School while privately coaching adults and the Team Cambridge Youth Triathlon Team.

After several years of coaching and teaching AP Physics at Nolan, Coach Keith left the classroom to coach and develop Fort Worth TC athletes full-time in the fall of 2021.

Keith is a USA Triathlon Level II Youth & Junior and Short Course Certified Coach. He’s spent time overseas training the US Junior World Championship Team and learning from Project Podium and the Development National Teams domestically.

With his expertise coaching triathlon, track, cross country, and swimming, Coach Keith is uniquely qualified to coach athletes in these individual sports AND those juggling both running and triathlon.

Keith is married with two young daughters. FWTC is a family affair with Keith’s wife, Jacquelyn, serving as “Team Mom” and his girls as the proudest FWTC cheerleaders at races and practices!
